Let’s craic down on the shipbuilding history of Belfast, particularly the construction of the RMS Titanic, the ship that was famously named ‘unsinkable’ met a tragic fate on its maiden voyage in 1912. Titanic Belfast has masterfully turned the tragic story of the sinking of the Titanic into a captivating tourist attraction driving leisure tourism in Belfast and becoming one of the city's key venues for hosting business and leisure events.

One of the darkest chapters in Belfast’s history was “The Troubles”, with bombings and assassinations the city faced an unpeaceful 30 years. The city remembers this time with the political murals located on the Shankill and Falls road and the international peace wall on Cupar Way which was originally built to divide the two communities during the conflict. There are various tours you can take to see the murals such as Walking tours, private taxi tours, hop on hop off buses, or just simply self-guided tours.
